If you are going to use photos and videos, make sure that you fill the screen and support landscape orientation.
Allow users pinch photos and videos.
Hide controls on tap.
Allow swiping to navigate the photos.
Use IOS video playback controls instead of custom designed controls, such as Airplay button
Reduce visual noise.
- Large data sets
13 pt is the min. font size you can use in iphone. 15pt is the most appropriate one.
Use different font size and bold type etc. instead of using different colors.
- Have a great App icon
Place it inside a folder to test the legibility. The best IOS icons are still distinguishable in small size.
- Programmers adopt one of two general approaches when creating iOS apps: adopt the conventions completely or establish their own. Game makers tend to dispense entirely with stock controls (buttons and so forth) and create custom UI controls for all aspects of their app. Programmers of business or information-oriented apps tend to adopt the standard conventions.
